The Koala is a small Australian marsupial. It is an adoptable animal in all three Wildlife Park games.
Description[]
The Koala is an arboreal marsupial that lives in Eastern Australia. It is recognizable by its stocky tailless body and its large head with a large black nose and fluffy ears, which gives it a resemblance to a teddy bear; hence the common but inaccurate nickname koala bear. Koalas can reach up to 85cm (33in) in length and weigh 15kg (33lbs), with males being larger than females.
The majority of a koala's diet consists of leaves from the eucalyptus trees in which they live. These provide little energy and as a result, koalas will sleep for up to twenty hours a day. Koalas are solitary and will come together only to mate. Like with most marsupials, the young is raised in a pouch for the first six months, before spending the next six months being carried on its mother's back before leaving to fend for itself. Koalas are threatened by habitat destruction, with bushfires being a major natural threat.
Wildlife Park[]
The koala is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park and is available in the base game. It is best to build high-height fence like Wooden Palisade for the enclosure as they are capable of climbing over the low fences. Their daily needs and enrichments include sprouts, water, and climbing. In terms of environment, they prefer 40% of ground hardness and tropic plants. An example of preferred ground is a lawn of grass.

It is sometimes erroneously called the koala bear, mainly due to its teddy bear like appearance. However, the koala is not a bear but a marsupial. One of the koala's special features is the fact that his pouch opens downwards, unlike the kangaroo, whose pouch opens upwards. The koala's cute appearance is due to his large round ears, his button nose with the hairless bridge and his grey coat with white on the underside. The koala is approx. 60-80 cm long and can reach a weight of up to 15 kgs. Koalas live almost exclusively in eucalyptus trees and spend up to 20 hours per day sleeping and the rest eating. They are very selective in their choice of eucalyptus tree and different individual animals have varying tastes with regard to the eucalyptus type. The territory of an individual animal consists of various trees divided by function (eating trees, sleeping trees), marked by gland secretion by the male and with urine by the female. The Koala's front paws are perfectly adapted to climbing. The 1st and 2nd toes are joined to a pair, which gives the impression of a second thumb. Together with the three remaining toes this results in a sort of gripping arm, which is also endowed with sharp claws. The koala is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 2. It was added as part of the Crazy Zoo expansion pack. Its daily need and enrichment necessities include eucalyptus and climbing. They prefer having a minimum herd of 2, with 20 as the maximum number of herd.

Wildlife Park 3[]
The koala is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3. It was added as part of the Down Under expansion pack. Their daily food and enrichment necessities include eucalyptus, water, and climbing. In terms of environment, they prefer to rest on Rain tree and softer grounds like peat. They can live individually, with 5 as the maximum number of herds.
White Koala[]
An albinism variant. Compared to their normal kinds, this variant has a slightly higher price and attractiveness. Their needs remain the same nonetheless.
