The Moose is a large North American/Eurasian deer. It is an adoptable animal in all three Wildlife Park games.

Description[]

Standing up to 2.1m (6.9ft) at the shoulder, the moose is the largest member of the deer family. They can be identified from other deer by their extremely large antlers, which are shaped like an open hand (or "palmate"), as well as a dewlap, or bell, under their chin which has a currently unknown purpose. Moose have an extremely acute sense of smell and are capable swimmers. They are found across the northern regions of North America, but are also found in Eurasia, where they are often called elk.

Moose generally live in forests and can survive in a variety of habitats, but are rarely ever found far from water. They are browsers and tend to select food that has less fiber. Unlike many species of deer, which live in large herds, moose are solitary animals.

Wildlife Park[]

The moose is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park and is available in the base game. It is referred to by its European name of "Elk". When adopting the species, it is best to build high-height enclosure as they are capable of jumping over the low fences. Their daily needs and enrichments include hay, leaves, mineral (base game only), water, tussling (e.g. boxing equipment), scratching (e.g. branches) and swimming. In terms of environment, they prefer 30% of ground hardness, flat and leveled land, and temperate plants. An example of preferred ground is a full lawn of grass.

Wildlife Park 2[]

The moose is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 2 and is available in the base game. Its daily need and enrichment necessities include grass, mineral, water and swimming. They can live individually, with 15 as the maximum number of herd.

Wildlife Park 2[]

The Alaskan Moose is a large North American deer. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3.

Description[]

The Alaskan Moose is a subspecies of Moose. Standing up to 2.1m (6.9ft) at the shoulder, the moose is the largest member of the deer family, with the Alaskan moose being the largest subspecies. They can be identified from other deer by their extremely large antlers, which are shaped like an open hand (or "palmate"), as well as a dewlap, or bell, under their chin which has a currently unknown purpose. Moose have an extremely acute sense of smell and are capable swimmers. As its name suggests, the Alaskan moose is found primarily in Alaska, as well as western Yukon.

Moose generally live in forests and can survive in a variety of habitats, but are rarely ever found far from water. They are browsers and tend to select food that has less fiber. Unlike many species of deer, which live in large herds, moose are solitary animals.
