Chimpanzees live in a variety of habitats, although they usually reside in rainforests. They are omnivorous and will take a wide variety of food, from leaves and bark to insects and smaller primates, but their main diet consists of fruits.
Chimpanzees are highly social animals, living in large groups typically lead by a dominant male. They will often groom each other to reinforce social bonds and communicate with each other using a wide variety of facial expressions and vocalizations.
